We continued our sermon series in Matthew’s Gospel with a message from Matthew 8:18–27 titled “Anchored in Christ.” Here we see the wonder of Christ: truly man, asleep in the boat; truly God, sovereign over creation. Although the storm exposed their fear, it would also reveal the glory of Christ. To be anchored in Christ is not to live without storms, but to rest in the One whom the storm itself obeys.
